Chess Is Best Sunday Classes with Miss Stacia offer a fun, structured environment for students of all skill levels. Whether your child is brand new to chess or already competing in tournaments, each class includes engaging instruction, personalized coaching, practice games, take-home worksheets, progress check-ins, and fun prizes! All classes are designed to help students build confidence and improve.

At the end of the session, the players will have the opportunity to compete for trophies and will receive a chess medal, followed by a family-friendly awards celebration with refreshments. My goal is simple: inspire every child to enjoy chess, build real skills, and improve!

Chess Tournament Training Class for K-12
3:30-5:30pm

High-level lessons paired with rated games, notation/clock practice and game analysis.  
Fee: $249

Our Tournament Training Class is designed for players who are ready to build real competitive experience. Advanced lessons and puzzle exercises will be followed by rated games. Players from unrated to 1800 USCF are welcome and will be grouped by rating and playing strength so that newer and more experienced players can compete against peers of a similar rating and skill. Games will be played under tournament conditions using clocks, notation, touch-move rules, proper tournament etiquette, and good sportsmanship, with guided game analysis from Miss Stacia and higher rated players and coaches.

Students will also compete in some fun chess puzzle and calculation challenges with opportunities to win prizes. New and expired players will receive a one-year U.S. Chess Federation (USCF) membership, and students who are not already rated will earn their first official USCF rating in this class! The session culminates in a fun bughouse tournament and awards ceremony with trophies and recognition for student achievement.
